This article considers the issues of the current state of the design of clothing for elderly women. The authors noted the lack of information and a small number of proposals from modeling organizations and retail chains of functional, stylish and comfortable wardrobe for elderly women. Physiological features of elderly women are characterized by a high degree of development and uneven distribution of fat deposits on different parts of the body. and their influence on the choice of clothes This circumstance particularly complicates the choice of the shape and cut of clothes. Along with this, a socio-psychological portrait of an elderly woman was compiled, so in connection with individual characteristics, non-standard figure and older age and today fashion is increasingly turning to the targeted design of clothing, expanding the age boundaries. The relevance of this study is due to the lack of recommendations on artistic design of clothes for older women, as well as the increasing need of this age group to create a functional, stylish and comfortable wardrobe. In modern socio-economic conditions, capsule wardrobe becomes not only a fashion trend, but also a practical solution for women seeking convenience. The object of the study is the process of capsule wardrobe development for women aged 65-70 years. Subject of the study - physiological features of women in this age category and their influence on the choice of clothes, as well as psychological and social aspects of fashion for older women.
